Celebrating My 30th: A Birthday Special + 30 Things to Know About Me.

Dusting Off the Cobwebs from the Blog Today

I began writing this on June 1st, motivated by a sudden burst of inspiration…

It’s been a while! I really hope you all are doing well. My last blog post was back in February, and you can catch up on it here. In that post, I explained that I’ve been focusing on my YouTube channel, which you should check out today. There’s a birthday photo-shoot vlog where I bring you behind-the-scenes footage from my shoot in Lagos. It was a lot of fun! Watch bts here and also get links to outfits/details Birthday BTS

I wasn’t feeling up to posting today because life has been pretty challenging lately. However, I gave myself a pep talk and reminded myself that simply being alive and in good health is reason enough to be thankful and to share my thoughts. I’m also grateful to some of my friends who pushed me to post today. Birthdays come once a year, and turning 30 is a significant milestone that only happens once. As you all know, there’s always a post on my birthday, and I didn’t want to break that tradition. Feel free to check out my previous birthday posts on the blog. World Bukola Day, A Year Of Growth, Dreamy In Tulle

Despite life’s challenges, we keep trusting God. For this particular birthday, I don’t want to ask God for anything; I just want to be thankful and he knows my deepest heart desires. As you know, gratitude is a must here.

I had a specific vision for my 30th birthday. Although I didn’t plan a trip, I was particular about my pictures and had to make it happen in Lagos. Each outfit gives off a different vibe and highlights different aspects of my personality—kinda like unlocking various versions of Bukky, haha.

I am incredibly thankful to God for seeing me through these 30 years. How did I make it this far? Tiny me, a whole 30 years on earth! Happy Birthday to me.

I’d like to end this blog post with a scripture: Jeremiah 29:11 – “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Cheers to a new decade and the best one yet!
