I’m counting down the days till the semester ends in two weeks. It’s my third semester of graduate school, and this has been the most intense and challenging semester yet, with classes ranging from Health Analytics to Healthcare Management Information Systems to Biostatistics and Public Health Practice, oh boy! The difficulty, which ranges from a lack of sleep to being anxious, having a lot of assignments, being involved on campus, and so on. However, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I asked for this, and I’m grateful to God for giving me the strength and grace to keep going. The finish line is approaching, and all I can say is that I’m doing an incredible job.
Hello everyone! I hope you’re all doing good. It’s been over a month since I blogged on my blog about How to layer a casual outfit. I apologize for being MIA, but I’m sure you understand. Let’s not waste any time and get right into today’s post.
I’m not sure if you all remember what I said in this post Happy new year 2022, that I wanted to travel and see new locations. My photographer and I were hosted for a day by the wonderful people at JW Marriott Essex House in Manhattan, and it was fantastic!
To be honest, I really needed it. School was hectic, and I even worked on assignments till the morning of my trip to NYC, but a student had to do what she needed to do. My photographer and I drove 45 minutes from Connecticut to our destination. We were greeted by Sarah, the hotel’s manager, and shown to our room, the Manhattan View Suite. Guys! This suite was excellent! We got the nicest view of Manhattan, the room was furnished beautifully, and everything was on point. Every spot was beautiful and ideal for a content creator like myself.
It was the ideal way to unplug, relax, and re-energize. I had a great time shooting and eating! I was fed!
I wish I could spend more time there, lol.
Some of the activities we did during our stay-cation were creating amazing content and we were hosted to dinner at the hotel restaurant. I had pasta, which was delicious. My cocktail was so good and I was super happy. I was hoping to have enough energy to leave the hotel that night and just hang out, but I was exhausted and just wanted to be wrapped up in my hotel duvet hehe.

That night’s sleep was different. There’s something about hotel mattresses, pillows, bed-sheets, and everything else. I’m referring to high-end hotels, of course. Breakfast was already waiting for me when I woke up the next morning. Waffles, fruits, macarons, potatoes, burger, egg, and a bottle of champagne were on the menu. Everything! Juice, coffee, everything! Oh, I ate a lot and didn’t feel guilty about it. I created some personal content during and after breakfast. You can see that enjoyment looks good on me. It was indeed a perfect time. Sarah took some photos and made sure we were comfortable in general. My photographer was also there to shoot beautiful images as usual. Renny and I used the time to talk about business and establish plans for the future, both individually and as a team.
If you’re a lifestyle/hospitality brand/travel agency, my photographer and I are planning to travel more this year and write reviews for hotels, resorts, airlines, etc. We are willing and able to fly for sponsored trips, staycations, and other similar opportunities. I’m just putting this out there. We have a rate card with reasonable rates and you’d get great value for your money. You can shoot me an email at bukolaogunyemi@gmail.com.
Thank you guys for visiting and I promise to be back soon. The semester ends in two weeks. I am really looking forward to that. Cheers!!
