Hello, darlings! I hope you’re all doing well. I honestly can’t believe it’s been a month since I last posted on here *whew*. That’s not so good. I am sorry about that but let us blame it on school. You can check out my last blog post Winter Outfit|| How to style black monotone with neutrals. Spring has officially sprung!
I was taking this Health Analytics course, and it was insane I didn’t even have a life. To cut a long story short, I completed the course and, thank God, I had an A+. We had a one-week spring break, and I was hoping to relax and enjoy myself, but I was unable to do so since I utilized the time to run overdue errands, make fashion reels and other sorts of content as I received some PR packages, did some assignments, cooked, and slept. I also traveled to NYC for a sponsored day-cation at JWMarriottessex House in Manhattan. I’d probably share a blog post on that lets see! It’s been a crazy couple of weeks. Anyway, school started again today, so we’re back to work.
Today on the blog, I’m sharing a very simple outfit that I put together and photographed while on vacation in the United Kingdom last winter. I haven’t done a casual look on the blog in a long time and it just occurred to me to style denim when putting this look together.
The main piece in my ensemble is my baggy denim which were love at first sight and very distinct from anything else I own in my closet.
For this look, I just used a stretchy v-neck vest from Forever21 over a white shirt to layer this look. This is the most basic form of layering you’ll likely encounter. Because I didn’t want to draw attention away from my jeans, I kept it simple. I also made the best footwear decision by wearing sneakers.
I wore gold statement earrings because I didn’t want to wear a necklace and decided to style my hair backwards, also accessorized with a black bag, gold bracelet, and my Apple watch.
A short story! This was the third and final look I shot on this day, and it began to rain just as I was going to shoot it. I was about to give up until we found a spot outside with some shade and shot there.
The photos turned out great. Every disappointment is indeed a blessing in disguise. These photos were taken by a friend of mine. He came to Birmingham, and together we created some incredible content.
I am overjoyed because I am a big fan of making memories and I enjoy planning ahead before traveling anywhere, especially when it comes to photography because I always want to capture professional photos for the blog, so having my friend around was great. You can check out his instagram SEANSHOTIT. He is very much available to travel within the UK and he does an amazing job so please check him out.
I am extremely fortunate to have such wonderful individuals in my life who will always come through for me.
Now looking at these photos, I’m totally in love. Everything is on point, from the photography to the accessories, location, makeup which was done by me, poses, and hair. There is beauty in simplicity.
We’ve reached the end of this blog post, but before I stop writing, I’d want to invite you to my live session on consistency and time management as a content creator this Sunday.
I’m really looking forward to this because one of my goals for the year 2022 is to speak more and get paid to do so about the topics I am passionate about.
This is me manifesting paid speaking engagements, but first we must start somewhere. Please save the date.
I’ll be taking three courses for the remainder of the semester, which ends in mid-May, and I’m hoping it won’t be as hectic as the first half. I’ll do my best to share blog posts, but you may follow me on Instagram @prettyfaze in the interim. I’m pretty active there, and I publish content on a regular basis.
Thank you for stopping by, and I hope to see you again soon. Cheers!!.
