HOW TO STYLE A PUFFER JACKET || WINTER FASHION

Hello everyone! Welcome back to the blog and happy new month. In case you missed it, please read my most recent blog post How to style a camel coat. Completely irrelevant, but am I the only one who thinks January flew by so quickly? I have absolutely no complaints.
I also believe that this winter has been the best one yet. In all honesty, it doesn’t seem real. It is February, I have not seen any snow in Connecticut, and the winter is not as harsh as prior ones. Don’t get me wrong oh! I am a fan of snow but don’t think I am mentally prepared for it at this point hehe.

 We are discussing puffer jacket styling on the blog today. When I saw this jacket, I fell in love. I was drawn to it by the color and style. Last year, when I was attempting to find a birthday present for my friend Renny, I decided to get her something in her favorite color—yellow! When it comes to my friendships, I do make a conscious effort. When I came across this oversized puffer jacket that also happens to be her style and her favorite color, I said to myself, “This is Renny’s gift,”. I put hers in the cart and thought to myself, “You don’t have a colorful winter jacket like this.” Since I typically prefer dark colors, I put mine in the cart as well. From the moment I put it in the cart, I started thinking of all the many ways I might wear it. I immediately thought of pairing this jacket with an all-black ensemble, and that is exactly what I did with this look. 

This styling eliminates all other distractions and makes the jacket the main attraction. I’m dressed in a black turtleneck top, high-waist black denim trousers, and black knee-high boots. I adore this look’s simplicity while still making a statement. My pixie cut wig was ideal for this look.I finished off the look with my sunglasses and a pair of gold earrings. I just love the look and street-style vibe it gives off. Putting this outfit together was stress-free and the jacket is incredibly warm.

Let’s discuss photography and the location now. This was the third outfit I wore for my Philadelphia photo shoot with photographer Kain. You can catch up with the other two posts How to style a camel coat, How to style a sweater in autumn.

Kain knew the ideal spots for each outfit. All I had to do was describe to him the colors, mood, and style of each look.The Graffiti Pier served as the location for this outfit. It’s my second time shooting there. Kain was also the photographer the first time, which was in 2018 or thereabouts. I immediately said yes when he suggested shooting at the graffiti pier for this look because it was a vibrant setting that was ideal for showcasing the street style vibe my outfit was giving .
