Hello everyone! Happy new year! I can’t believe I last posted on this site on November 21, 2022. You can check out the post How To Style A Sweater In Autumn. Even my customary final post of the year/lessons learned couldn’t go up. I’m sorry, but the last few months of the year were really challenging academically. It was especially difficult because it was my final graduate semester.
This blog post will be a combination of gist, a few images from last year, and some goals set for this new year. This year has been declared to be both my year of undeniable exploits and laughter, as well as my year of divine multiplications!
I have successfully completed both my Master’s in Public Health and my Certificate in Health Informatics, to God be the glory. All As, not a B! I set this goal for myself when I started graduate school, and I’m so grateful to God for seeing it through the pressure, sleepless nights, and tears. Additionally, I am very grateful to God for my parents. Without them, this would not have been possible. The sacrifices, support, encouragement, provision, and making sure I never lack anything. Guys, let’s be honest. Being a parent is not easy. Also paying out of pocket to sponsor a child in America is not cheap. Praise God for his provision. May God grant my parents’ desires and keep them alive to enjoy the fruits of their great labor.I have attached these two pictures from my last class in graduate school.
Permit me to reintroduce myself as Rebecca Ogunyemi, MD, MPH. Oh, this is so sweet!
The next step would be to secure my ideal employment, and I am confident that God would deliver beyond my wildest dreams. I won’t be disappointed.
What did you guys do to celebrate Christmas and the new year? Mine was great.
In my apartment, I took some early ugly Christmas sweater photos with this sweater I got over a year ago. One thing about Bukky.. She’s
gonna have a photo shoot. Despite having the option to travel outside of Connecticut, I chose to spend the holidays in my apartment here. It was a big decision for me to spend those holidays alone, and I’m pleased I did. I went all out and organized a party for one in my apartment while cooking a lot of food for someone who doesn’t enjoy cooking much. Guys problem no dey finish! It’s crucial to develop your ability to be by yourself, enjoy yourself, and make time for yourself. I enjoyed myself so much. I’m thankful for God’s provision, and towards the end of the year, I went on a personal retreat to spend time with God and receive renewal, guidance, and fresh empowerment for this year.
Without a doubt, I’m doing the new year with God, and I’m giving him thanks in advance for all my wins. I have high expectations and they will not be cut short.
2022 was a year of growth for me in all aspect of my life, in fact! I was stretched! I cried, but there was one thing. I was quite aware of myself, all I was going through, and the seasons and times that it was. A friend of mine would say, “Bukky, one thing I admire about you is that you’re self-aware!” When things didn’t go my way, I felt lot better about it. I did away with anxiety. For me, it was also a year of firsts, disappointments, travel, and a lot of other things. Taking a look back, yeah? Sincerity speaking, I am quite grateful for how the year turned out. God was with me and I genuinely think that was the year I needed to prepare for the new season God is about to usher me into. I am extremely grateful to God for my family throughout the past year.
I have set my goals for 2023, and I am confident that, with God’s help, I will accomplish them. Additionally, I ask God for the ability to carry out and pursue all of my goals. My life will be better than it has ever been this year in every way. This would be a year that positively changed my life and the lives of my family. The scripture I am holding on to is Amos 9: 13-15 “Yes indeed, it won’t be long now.” God’s Decree.“Things are going to happen so fast your head will swim, one thing fast on the heels of the other. You won’t be able to keep up. Everything will be happening at once—and everywhere you look, blessings! Blessings like wine pouring off the mountains and hills. I’ll make everything right again for my people Israel: “They’ll rebuild their ruined cities. They’ll plant vineyards and drink good wine. They’ll work their gardens and eat fresh vegetables. And I’ll plant them, plant them on their own land. They’ll never again be uprooted from the land I’ve given them.”
I launch my YouTube channel this year as well. I have a few videos that need to be edited, but I won’t start until after the job hunt portion of my life is complete, I’ve properly adjusted to my 9–5 job, and I have more structure. I have such faith that it will materialize shortly. Additionally, I intend to switch my blog from Blogger to Word Press. Even though I believe I stated it last year, I did not.
This will also be my year to grow exponentially across all of my social media platforms because I put in the work. I am experiencing a year of complete divine visibility. I’ll be working with brands that I’ve listed on my vision board as well as some that I never would have imagined. Making myself a priority is something else I’ll be doing this year. I’m quite excited and confident about the new year and publicly thanking God for the things he’s going to do. Thank you God in advance. You guys should better famz me now before I blow.
I absolutely adore the images from this new year’s photo shoot, and as soon as I saw them, I knew what the title of my blog post would be. I hope this lengthy post was not boring to you.
Since school is ended, I’ll attempt to be much more consistent on this blog, but if I don’t upload frequently, please be understanding. It will undoubtedly be due to circumstances that are out of my control, despite my best efforts. I appreciate your time and will see you all in my next post. Once more, Happy New Year! Love, Bukky.
