Hello, everyone! Wow, I can’t believe it’s been over three months since my last post. My apologies for the hiatus, but it was for a good reason. If you haven’t already, be sure to check out my last post World Bukola Day from June to find out why. Summer has finally come to an end.
Welcome back to the blog! I’ve genuinely missed writing and sharing my thoughts here. While I’ll aim to be more consistent with my posts, my main focus right now is my YouTube channel. I’d greatly appreciate it if you could check it out and subscribe. Since its launch on April 9th, I’ve been uploading new content every week. Additionally, I’ve been quite active on various social media platforms.
This summer has been incredibly eventful, and there’s so much to share both here and on my YouTube channel. I recently had the opportunity to attend the just-concluded New York Fashion Week, and I can’t wait to share blog posts about my looks and experience. I’m really excited to get back to writing and sharing with all of you!
Let’s dive right into today’s look! I captured this content a little while ago, even before my birthday shoot (yes, before that!) when I embarked on a mini sponsored stay-cation at The Goodwin Hotel in Hartford. This particular look was inspired by the variety of pink pieces I had tucked away in my closet. These pink items were acquired separately over different periods, and I realised that I hadn’t showcased an all-pink ensemble on here before. Plus, I wanted it to serve as inspiration for work-style, as you all know how much I adore work-style fashion.
So,here it is—an all-pink look, featuring different shades of pink with a touch of navy blue, which surprisingly pairs beautifully with pink. Some of the shots from this shoot have an editorial feel, and thankfully, the area of the hotel we chose for this look complements the outfit perfectly.
In this ensemble, I’m wearing a light pink silk shirt from Forever21 paired with high-waist formal cotton pants from Levi’s. My stylish pink work bag from Michael Kors, a lovely gift from a friend, adds an elegant touch. To tie the whole look together, I’ve opted for blue textured low heels, also gifted by a friend. I’m currently loving the art of styling plain pieces with different fabric textures – it exudes sophistication. The lighter shade of pink lends a soft, subtle quality to the outfit, while the brighter shade serves as the highlight. It’s a testament to the fact that a monochromatic look always stands out! Completing the ensemble is my voluminous hairstyle and my favorite wig from NATURALGIRL WIGS, which adds the final flourish to the look.
